Eric Carle "Read for the Record Event" at SGP

Today's "Read for the Record" event was a great success! Our new superintendent Dr. Terry Grier, Ms. Melinda Garrett, Dr. Weeden, as well as Mary Jane Gomez, Lauren Nguyen, Executive Principal Kim Fonteno, Cynthia Gonzalez, Kathy Heath, and KPRC-Channel 2's Rachel McNeil came to our school and read Eric Carle's The Very Hungry Caterpillar to our pre-K and kindergarten students. Our school was even featured on the evening news!

The student artwork made a huge impression on all our wonderful guests. The Dragons are certainly a very artistic and talented bunch! Our school walls are covered with artwork from everyone, and it has never looked more beautiful. Way to go, students! Be proud of your hard work and your contribution to beautifying the building for everyone to enjoy.
