"Bee" Art Smart!

This is our "Art Smart" bulletin board where I post many of the slides from the previous lesson as well as any artist information or new vocabulary we learned in the lesson/unit. I keep them up about two or three weeks (sometimes longer if we are working through a unit) and let the students explore the images by choice during our "Developing Visual Vocabulary" block time. This is usually during those last few minutes of class between clean-up and line-up. Our "Picture Library" is also part of this block. The students are reminded each class session that the library is for getting ideas for future artwork and to learn about artists and their works. The bee was part of a bulletin board display from the previous year in the kindergarten hallway. It is stuffed with recycled paper!

  2. I've put a copy of this bulletin board photo and a link to your blog on my blog, "Bulletin Boards to Remember." I hope that's okay with you. If not, let me know and I'll take it down. jan
