These were done by the first graders. Students traced recycled cardboard and plastic bottle tops to create these castles. I instructed them to pretend they were building the castles from imaginary blocks that they traced. The students then colored a few areas with oil pastel and painted the negative space around them with a metallic tempera paint. A very fun project that is good for spatial reasoning and composition skills!
