Guest Artist Erin Joyce-Target Fine Arts Initiative

School at St. George Place Elementary is a proud participator in the "Target Fine Arts Initiative" funded by Target through the HISD Foundation, whose programs are facilitated and coordinated by Young Audiences of Houston. This grant is part of ongoing efforts by Target to strengthen families and communities throughout the country. Since opening its doors, Target has given 5 percent of its income to organizations that support education, the arts, social services and volunteerism. Today that equals more than $3 million every week.

Artist Erin Joyce of CityArtworks is on campus working with Mrs. Carlin and Mrs. Sanders' second grade students on a ceramic flower garden to be installed in the front of the school at the beginning of next year!
