Portraits of Presidents: Abraham Lincoln by 2nd Grade

These were created as part of a presidential portrait quilt for our second graders' expo projects. The students were assigned one actual image of Lincoln. The first step was to draw on top of their image to learn the shapes and contours of the face. The students then drew freehand sketches with pencil, permanent marker, and followed with grayscale watercolor washes. Simply amazing!
